As part of celebrations for "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav", a quiz contest on Buddhism was launched by the Embassy of India in partnership with the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) to promote awareness and understanding among the people of Vietnam, particularly the younger generation, of the various Buddhist destinations in India and to encourage them to visit these historical locations. Ambassador Pranay Verma and Vice Chairman of VBS Standing Committee, Thich Thanh Nhieu jointly chaired the launch ceremony at the VBS premises on 15 November 2021 in the presence of Vietnamese media persons. The quiz will be open to all Vietnamese citizens and will be conducted in three rounds. The three final winners will get to visit India on a five-day familiarization trip sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

Cuộc thi đố vui về Phật giáo do Đại sứ quán Ấn Độ phối hợp với Giáo hội Phật giáo Việt Nam (GHPGVN) phát động nhằm nâng cao nhận thức và hiểu biết của người dân Việt Nam, đặc biệt là thế hệ trẻ về các điểm đến Phật giáo khác nhau tại Ấn Độ và khuyến khích họ tới thăm các địa điểm lịch sử này. Đại sứ Pranay Verma và Phó Chủ tịch Thường trực HĐTS GHPGVN, HT Thích Thanh Nhiễu đã cùng chủ trì lễ ra mắt tại trụ sở GHPGVN vào ngày 15/11/2021 trước sự chứng kiến của truyền thông Việt Nam. Cuộc thi sẽ dành cho tất cả công dân Việt Nam và được thực hiện trong ba vòng. Ba người chiến thắng cuối cùng sẽ đến thăm Ấn Độ trong một chuyến đi làm quen kéo dài 5 ngày do Bộ Du lịch, Chính phủ Ấn Độ tài trợ.
