As part of initiatives to promote tourism exchanges between India and Vietnam, the Consulate General of India in partnership with the Kien Giang People’s Committee, organized an India-Vietnam Tourism Promotion event in Phu Quoc City on 8 April 2022. Ambassador Pranay Verma addressed the event and highlighted the importance of tourism sector in the post-pandemic socio-economic recovery. He expressed optimism that with focused efforts from both sides and with restoration of air connectivity, the tourism flow between India and Vietnam will significantly rise in 2022. He also highlighted India’s numerous tourism attractions for Vietnamese tourists, including our shared Buddhist heritage.
Representatives from India’s Ministry of tourism, Kien Giang Tourism Department as well as tour and travel industry of both countries joined the interaction. Consul General of India Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi gave the concluding remarks.
Nằm trong các sáng kiến thúc đẩy trao đổi du lịch giữa Ấn Độ và Việt Nam, Tổng Lãnh sự quán Ấn Độ phối hợp với Ủy ban Nhân dân tỉnh Kiên Giang tổ chức sự kiện Xúc tiến Du lịch Ấn Độ - Việt Nam tại thành phố Phú Quốc vào ngày 8 tháng 4 năm 2022. Đại sứ Pranay Verma phát biểu tại sự kiện và nhấn mạnh tầm quan trọng của ngành du lịch trong quá trình phục hồi kinh tế xã hội sau đại dịch và bày tỏ lạc quan rằng với những nỗ lực tập trung từ cả hai phía và việc khôi phục kết nối hàng không, phát triển du lịch giữa Ấn Độ và Việt Nam sẽ tăng lên đáng kể vào năm 2022. Ông cũng nhấn mạnh về vấn đề nhiều điểm du lịch hấp dẫn tại Ấn Độ cho du khách Việt Nam, bao gồm cả di sản Phật giáo chung hai nước.
Đại diện từ Bộ Du lịch Ấn Độ, Sở Du lịch Kiên Giang cũng như ngành du lịch và lữ hành của cả hai nước đã tham gia tương tác. Tổng Lãnh sự Ấn Độ, Tiến sĩ Madan Mohan Sethi phát biểu kết thúc.
