The Embassy of India, in collaboration with the People's Committee of Tien Giang Province and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and supported by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), the Marine Products Exports Development Authority (MPEDA) and the Indian Oilseeds and Produce Export Promotion Council (IOPEPC), the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of India and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam organised a Conference on Agricultural Cooperation in Tien Giang Province on 28 November 2017 to further agricultural cooperation between India and the Mekong Delta provinces of Vietnam and to bring together agro business and industry. The inaugural session of the Conference was addressed by the H.E. Mr. Le Van Huong, Chairman of Tien Giang People's Committee, Ambassador P. Harish and Mr. Le Quoc Doanh, Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam. Others who participated at conference included Mr. Le Van Nghia, Vice Chairman, Tien Giang People's Committee, Mr. Dao Anh Dung, Vice Chairman, Can Tho People's Committee, Mr. Trang Hoang Tuu, Vice Chairman, Vinh Long People's Committee, Mr. Vo Hung Dung, Director, VCCI, Can Tho Branch from the Vietnamese side and Mr. D.K. Singh, Chairman, APEDA, Mr. B.N. Sreekumar, Secretary, MPEDA and Mr. Sanjay Shah, Chairman, IOPEPC.
